Our Information & Information Technology (I&IT) division is seeking an experienced Senior Finance & Contract Officer to effectively develop, manage and coordinate financial, budgetary and administrative controls on behalf of the I&IT division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a variety of contract, budget and administration issues, demonstrating a solid understanding of technical issues involving many different disciplines.
  • Participating in contract negotiations and overseeing contract administration, managing projects to ensure vendors adhere to budgets and contract requirements including timelines.
  • Liaising with other offices within I&IT in the development of tenders and contracts and establishing processes and procedures for contract development.
  • Planning, developing, coordinating and monitoring divisional capital and operating budgets and identifying, assessing and recommending solutions for financial issues.

Location:   20 Bay Street, Toronto

Qualifications:     

  • Completion of a four-year post-secondary college diploma program in business administration, finance, commerce, economics or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 
  • A minimum of six years of work experience in contract administration, contract negotiations, financial planning/analysis and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract administration including the development of terms and conditions, quotations, negotiations and dispute resolution, when necessary.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in managing expenditure control of capital and operating costs including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software with a proven ability to develop professional reports and presentations for a Senior Management-level audience.
  • Courses leading to or a completed designation in accounting, finance or project management shall be considered an asset.
